[Track List 및 수록곡 소개]

1. 옥탑방
선공개곡으로 선정되어 가장 먼저 대중에게 공개된 이 곡은 장미여관 멤버 육중완이 작사/작곡한 곡으로 귀가 편안해지는 부드러운 멜로디에 동화같이 예쁜 가사를 얹은 소박하면서도 포근한 느낌을 주는 따듯한 곡이다. 달콤하게 속삭이는 듯한 준우, 중완 두 보컬의 조화로운 화음이 인상적이며 마치 꿈을 꾸는 듯한 느낌을 주는 악기 사운드가 잔잔하면서도 풍성한 분위기를 자아낸다. 옥탑방에 살면서 직접 느꼈던 점을 진솔하게 써 내려간 꾸밈없는 가사가 일품이다.

2. 이방인
“우리는 모두 외로워서 이곳을 찾아온 이방인. 모르는 사람들끼리 친해질 수 있는 곳. 하지만 유한한 시간 속에서 잠시만 머물다 가는 곳. 마치 우리가 사는 인생 같더라. 어디로 가는지 알 수 없는 인생처럼..”

‘이방인’은 바닷가에서 서핑을 하다가 근처 게스트 하우스에 모여 있는 사람들을 보며 느낀 감정을 쓴 곡으로 통기타 퍼커시브 주법 이 잘 살아있다. 코드가 3개뿐이라는 사실을 잊을 정도로 어느 하나 넘치거나 모자람 없이 잘 편곡된 곡이다. 잔잔한 바다처럼 반 주 위에 사푼히 펼쳐지는 보컬은 우리를 몽환적인 곳으로 안내한다.

3. 퇴근하겠습니다.
주위를 둘러보면 생계를 위해 어쩔 수 없이 자신의 꿈을 포기하고 직장생활, 혹은 꿈과는 전혀 다른 일을 하는 사람들을 많이 볼 수 있다. 그런 사람들에게 더 늦기 전에 꿈을 위해서 한번 도전 해보는 것은 어떤가? 하는 희망적인 메시지를 전달하는 곡이다. ‘퇴근하겠습니다’는 “퇴근”이라는 단어 자체에 무게를 둔 곡이 아니다. 여기서 “퇴근”이란 지금의 억압된 찌든 삶에서 꿈을 찾아 “이제 삶의 무게에서 퇴근한다”는 그런 의미이다. 잔잔한 통기타와 하모니카 소리가 아날로그 감성을 자극하며 마치 향수를 불러일으키는 듯한 느낌을 주는 포크 음악이다.

4. 처음 보는 여자
본인의 이상형은 처음 보는 여자, 모르는 여자라 외치는 남자. 하지만 곡의 말미에는 지금까지 했던 이야기는 전부 다 다른 남자들 얘기고 나는 그런 남자들과 다르다며 나만 믿어 달라고 하는 순정파의 모습을 보여준다. 남자는 아빠하고 나만 빼고 모두가 늑대라는 귀여운 거짓말!! 이 순정파 남자들의 이야기를 들어보자. 이 곡은 굉장히도 “장미여관” 스러운 특유의 유머와 독특한 향기가 묻어 나오는 곡이다. 터프한 기타 리프가 인상적.

5. 오오오
여자가 자기를 보고 웃어주기만 해도 사랑에 빠지는 남자, 소위 말해 “금사빠”에 관한 노래. 처음 간 꽃집의 아가씨가 인사치레로 웃어준 모습에 반하여 이 여자가 본인을 사랑한다고 착각하고 그에 마음이 동하여 사랑 고백을 하는 내용이다. 신나면서 간결하다. 복고풍의 기타 멜로디가 더 특별하게 느껴진다.

6. 엄마 냄새
제목만으로도 알 수 있듯 이번 앨범에서 가장 눈물샘을 자극하는 곡이다. 포크를 기반으로 하였으며 하모니카와 통기타의 하모니, 그리고 곡의 후반부에 한번에 터져 나오는 악기들의 소리는 슬픈 감정을 더욱 더 풍부하게 해준다.

“초등학교 시절, 집안의 사정으로 잠시 큰집에 맡겨져서 살았던 때가 있었다. 당시 어린 나에게 엄마의 부재는 정말 큰 슬픔이었다. 어느 날 저녁, 책상 밑에 있던 화장품 박스를 열어서 냄새를 맡아 보았는데 거기서 엄마 냄새가 났다. 지금 생각해보면 여자들에게 흔히 나는 그런 화장품 냄새였는데 그게 나에게는 엄마 냄새로 느껴졌다. 그 후로 엄마가 보고 싶을 때면 그 화장품 박스를 열고 냄새를 맡으며 그리움을 달래고는 했다. 나이가 들어버린 후로 엄마와 포옹한 기억이 거의 없다. 특히나 애정표현이 부족하고 무뚝뚝한 남자들은 더 그럴 것이다. 이렇게 표현 없이 살아온 이유로 점점 엄마 냄새를 잃어 버린 것 같아서, 엄마와 더욱 멀어진 것 같아서, 그리고 가장 가까이에서 우리를 제일 많이 사랑해주는 사람을 잊어버린 것 같아서, 이제부터라도 엄마를 더 생각하고 있을 때 잘하자는 그런 뜻으로 만들어 본 곡이다.” (장미여관 “강준우”)

7. 사람 사이
살면서 겪는 여러 가지 일들 중에 정말 힘들고 맘대로 되지 않는 것이 사람 사이의 관계일 것이다. 별것도 아닌 일에 혼자 오해해서 일을 크게 만든다던지 ‘뭐 괜찮겠지’라고 나 혼자 생각했던 일이 상대방에게는 큰 상처가 되었다든지.. 살면서 흔히 겪을수 있는 일에 대한 이야기이다. 모든 사람과 잘 지내고 싶지만 그럴 수 없는 현실이 아쉽기만 하다. 모두가 나를 좋아할 수 없는 법이고 모든 관계가 다 완벽할 수 없는 노릇이니까, 어느 정도 마음을 비우는 것도 필요하다. 이 곡은 어쿠스틱한 느낌의 곡으로 진중성 있는 보이스 톤이 당신의 귀를 자극한다.

8. 당신의 입장
남녀 이별에 관한 곡. 그렇게 나를 사랑한다 말했던 입술로 서로에게 독한 말을 하는 사람들. 이별에도 본인의 입장에 대해 구차하게 늘어 놓는 사람. 그 말이 진심인지 아닌지 알 길이 없다. 사랑해서 날 보내준다는 그런 거지같은 말을 하는 사람. 그 진심을 알 길이 없다. 그래서 너의 입장을 들어 본다. 풍부한 공간감을 느낄 수 있는 곡.

9. 사나이 댄스
이 노래는 누구나 평생의 고민 중 하나인 ‘어떻게 하면 이성에게 관심을 끌까’라는 재미있는 상상에서부터 시작된 곡이다. 곡 속에 등장하는 카리스마 넘치는 남자가 과연 어떤 춤을 춰야 이성에게 관심을 끌까 상상하다가 춤 이름을 거친 남자 냄새가 나는 ‘사나이 댄스’로 짓게 되었다. 장미여관이 무대에서 이 곡을 연주한다면 독특한 안무도 함께 감상할 수 있을 것이다. 춤 연습도 결코 게을리할 수 없도록 만드는 신나는 곡이다.

10. 오빠는 잘 있단다(Violin by 조윤정 of “두번째 달”)
어느 날 가만히 누워서 지금까지 어떻게 살아왔는지를 상상해보니, 문득 옛날에 함께 지냈던 친구들은 지금 어떻게 지내고 있을까 궁금해졌다. 그 궁금증을 표현해낸 곡이 바로 이 곡이다. 머릿속에서 맴돌던 생각이 그대로 쓰여진 이 곡이야말로 가장 장미여관 색이 짙지 않나 싶다. 함께 공감하며 옛 생각에 취해 볼 수 있는 흥겨운 곡이다.

Relevant expenses (round-trip shipping, customs, etc.) will be deducted from the refund.

Returns & Exchanges

2. Requirements:

Please take into consideration that we only accept qualifying returns but not exchanges. Refunds are issued once the returned products clear our inspection.

1) An item is eligible for cancellation if:
-you posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status (if your order is under “Preparing Shipment” status, please contact our customer service center) or
-the order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay; or
-the ordered item is out of stock.

2) We accept return(s) if:

-you receive a product different from your order; or

-you receive a defective product.

**Return Instructions

(1) Post a return request on our Return forum within three days of receipt. You are required to attach the photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, the order number, and the reason for the return.

(2) A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email or phone.

(3) Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Also, you need to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID.

*Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff. Returns that are shipped to us without any prior consent are not accepted.

*Please note that EVEN the defective/incorrect item(s) must be returned with all of the tags and labels intact. The item(s) must be sent in their original packaging and unworn.

*Please include all contents of the original package and free gifts (if applicable) in your return packaging.

* Shipping fee for any return caused by our fault will be paid by the company. However, if EMS’ cash on delivery is not possible then you can scan the return receipt and either mail it with the item to return or post an image of it on the forum. The shipping fee will be refunded once the returned item has arrived.

3) We do not accept return(s) if:

-you are returning the items just because you changed your mind (on size, color, etc.)
-you are returning shoes, bags, or any other accessories
-the products are damaged due to your mishandling
-your return request is not approved by our staff

The following items are not considered defective:

* Items that are originally manufactured without tags or labels
* Items with creases that may have been made while shipping
* Items with unsatisfactory/incomplete finish due to mass production

4) If there is a missing item from your order:

*Contact our customer service center by phone or by forum (if you cannot reach us by phone) within 1 day of delivery.
*Please keep all contents of the original package including packaging material (boxes, plastic bags etc.) with you until you are instructed otherwise.

Please note that we may not be able to process the refund for your missing item if you lose or damage any packaging material.
